 The SHIFT experience embodies what I do, have done, and continue to do to shift my body image, my health, & self sabotage, into loving myself, my body, having healthier habits (like eating!) and finding real happiness.

I wanted to let you know what a change you have made in my life with this program we went through together. The things that are most important are the knowledge that there is someone inside that is unique in the universe that no one can touch or effect if I don't allow it.  But when I do feel something for someone or something, it is profound.  I can feel that rapturous joy, I can temper that anger and fear.  Another shift is the comfort I feel in the pit of my stomach.  Where had that comfort gone?  Why did that comfort I felt when I was young abandon me?  Why did I think my life was so screwed up that I couldn't feel that any longer?  All I can figure is that I learned to ignore it.  Now I want that comfort, that glowing warmth to expand and to become me again.  I have been nervous for so long around other people that I just wanted to get back home to live in the country alone somewhere.  Now I have that peace inside me.  I still want to live in the country but not to escape.  Anyway, the point about that comfort is that I don't want to eat like I did and that I don't need food to feel good.  It is a complete change I could describe for another 2 or 3 pages but I won't.  I will just say that there is a change in me that I never thought could happen. The shift program was very impressive. I learned more about how to listen to what my body is trying to tell me. It's amazing how just listening to what Sarah has to teach us can open all these new doors for us to explore about ourselves and the answers are right inside each and every one of us, we just have to get the right combination to be at our most wonderful and efficient self and she helped us to see that. I thought it was great that the people in the group weren't afraid to share with everyone what they were feeling and the way Sarah helped them to see how to work towards a positive outcome also helped us all even if our goals may not have been the same. I have been working with Sarah for a month now. She is so knowledgable about food and health. We have been working on my issues of yoyo dieting and binge eating. Her program is not a diet but a healthy lifestyle change that includes your mind, body and food choices. In the past month without dieting and with Sarah's information and help I have lost 12 pounds and not had any food binges. I feel stronger both mentally and physically. Six months ago the most amazing thing happened to me, I began a regime of six months with a new idea a new person and gave my trust to the universe and began seeing Sarah Horst as my health coach.
Let me start from the beginning, three years ago my husband died-well he was my net when I was free falling, my other half, my best friend and my really only love. We were married for twenty-three years so it wasn’t taken lightly. After that my life spiraled into depression. I didn’t leave my chair only as a last resort. I knew six months ago I needed change and quickly. I was dying on the vine.
I want you to know how Sarah changed me from not working and begrudgingly leaving my chair, to working full time and becoming myself again. I have lost twenty pounds, though that was not our main focus, it was oh, ME. I had let my Real Estate licence lapse. I have renewed my licence and am loving life and myself again. Sarah has shown me how to take this lump of self loathing to wanting to be seen and see others. I have loved every step of the way and was treated always with the utmost respect and compassion by Sarah. She is like having the beam of light hit you and then things open up and you realize that we are our own worst critic and that to have your life back you have to show compassion, not to those around you but to yourself.
